I feel like I keep writing these posts about “why I am not writing Benji’s Story today.”
This challenge has been HARD.
There is a reason I usually only blogged 2-4 times a month in the past. My life is crazy.
4 kids + online classes + on campus classes + housework (<–ha!) = crazy
This week got bumped up to the Insane Level.
- It’s fall break. So, I doubled my all-day-at-home children all week. And hoo-boy! (or should I say “boyS”!) My twins have a LOT of energy.
- It is Week 9 of my online class. Technically my online classes are only 8 weeks. What week 9 means is grade-all-the-research-papers. I have 3 classes of research papers to grade in a week timeframe. That’s a whole lot of papers.
- My baby is going on week 4 of the ear-infection-from-Hell (wow, I am really over using the dash format in this post). We have been through 3 rounds of oral antibiotics with some horrific results (see this diary post from day 4 and this post from day 14 for a reminder). Well, now we have moved past the oral meds and are trying a 3 day round of injections (which really hurt!) If that doesn’t work, we will have to move on to tubes. It has been awful.
- My baby is also teething! YEA! Teething mean no sleep + nursing constantly. He nursed, oh…all night last night. I think he slept for about 20 minute increments. But that darn tooth finally showed its face today….Whew…Here’s to better sleep tonight (please, God…)
So, adding Fall Break + All-the-Papers + Ear Infection Hell + Teething + No Sleep = My Day/My week.
It was either craft a beautiful “Benji’s Story” post about finally getting an answer about whether or not he would pass 1st grade…or go to bed. I’m hittin’ the sack, ya’ll.
Wish me sleep, please. Benji’s Story will be back tomorrow.
But hey, I STILL WROTE TODAY. So, take that, Write 31 Days challenge!
